If you found your way here, I am really glad you did.

Whiskey and the Writings exists for the spiritually curious. For skeptics, seekers, and those who still feel a pull toward God but are not sure what to do with the Bible, the church, or Christianity as they have experienced it.

This is a space to slow down and wrestle with the big questions. Not with easy answers or pressure to believe, but with honesty, history, and a deeper look at the story Scripture is actually telling.

On the channel, we explore things like how to read the Bible as a unified story, why doubt has always been part of faith, what ancient context can clarify about modern assumptions, and how the story of Jesus speaks to real life, suffering, purpose, and hope.

This site is an extension of that conversation.

What You Can Expect.

  • Reflections on Scripture that focus on the bigger story, not isolated verses

  • Historical and cultural context that makes the Bible more human and more compelling

  • Honest engagement with doubt, suffering, and faith without shame

  • Updates on new videos, essays, and future projects

Whiskey and the Writings is part of Stories of TOV, a broader effort to help people rediscover God’s story and their place within it.

The heart behind all of it is simple. Faith should make us more whole, more human, and more loving. If it does not, then we are probably missing something important in the story.

If that resonates, you are in the right place.
